**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Growthbuilt is looking for an experienced HSE professional to join our business on a** **fixed term 12-month contract** to be our ambassador for our southern New South Wales projects. As part of Growthbuilt’s regional expansion, you will be working across both commercial and residential projects with some of our key flagship clients.
You will have complete coverage of our Kiama, Shell Cove and Port Kembla sites while also supporting the Head of HSE. As the HSE Manager you will be tasked with driving The Growthbuilt Way, (our Integrated Management System), client satisfaction and working closely with and collaboratively with all staff at all levels, to maintain excellence in Health and Safety.
Your first 2 weeks will allow you to shadow our current staff and learn our internal and operational systems, processes, onboarding, and weekly inspections.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Maintain ISO & FSC accreditations ensuring periodic audits are scheduled to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Monitor the IMS (The Growthbuilt Way) and identify and implement initiatives to improve it, including all procedures, processes, and safe systems of work; ensuring all documentation is kept up to date.
- Implement and enforce an internal audit schedule to ensure that sites and offices are complying with the requirements of accreditations and legislation.
- Liaise with registration bodies, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and Regulator as required.
- Overall responsibility/authority for all incident and near-miss investigations and reporting.
- Ensure the company meets the necessary legislative obligations and drive the continuous improvement of HSE throughout the company.
- Ensure that project teams are working in a standardised approach to the company’s established policies and procedures.
- Develop and conduct relevant health and safety training as required throughout the organisation.
**ABOUT YOU**
- Minimum Graduate Diploma in WHS + 5yrs experience
- Previous experience running an IMS system compliant with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 through accredited bodies.
- Detailed knowledge and experience maintaining Australian and International standards within the Australian construction industry
- Lead Auditor qualifications (eg. ISO 9001) preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the construction environment
- Green project experience and training an advantage as are other environmental credentials
- Broad knowledge of NSW WHS & Construction legislation, Australian Standards, Codes of Practice
- Current First Aid & CPR certificates required prior to commencing in the role
- Professional Membership of the AIHS highly regarded
