The primary focus of the Construction Manager will be working with the Project Managers and Commercial Construction General Manager to oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Oversee all construction and monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Work with the internal development team by providing construction guidance and expertise in the most efficient construction methodology and design.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance also analyse, manage and mitigate risks.
- Review the work in progress on daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status and financial delivery.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences as required.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

**Knowledge and experience required**:

- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction with tertiary qualifications in Building/Construction/Project Management or a relevant building trade qualification.
- Proven and successful working experience in senior project management or construction management at a senior level.
- Proven experience managing and successfully delivering a variety of commercial projects up to $50mil and planning multi-step projects.
- Motivated, well organised, customer focused and able to prioritise tasks. Must be flexible, enjoy implementing new processes and be looking to add value to the business.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, rules, regulations and quality standards.
- Competent in conflict and crisis management also leadership and human resources management skills.
- Must have experience in class 2 construction.
- Must have experience in design and construct projects with the ability to estimate and provide budgets based on early concept planning.
