**THE ROLE**

The Construction Area Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the construction of our quality homes, adherence to quality standards, manage material deliveries, on-site sub-contractors, and fostering a positive team environment. This role requires a blend of construction expertise, leadership skills, and a customer-centric focus.

**Your day-to-day tasks would involve but not limited to**:

- Oversee construction phases, complete inspections, coordinating trades, and ensuring the building process delivers high-quality results.
- Manage construction timelines, identify delays, and implement strategies for timely project completion.
- Resource planning, procurement, and maintenance of an effective trade base.
- Resolve building complaints and disputes, meeting client expectations.
- Supervise, develop and direct team members, set performance standards, and conduct performance reviews.
- Budget preparation, forecasting, and target setting in collaboration with the Building Manager.
- Develop and implement processes to manage costs and prevent margin erosion.
- Proactively address safety practices, conduct regular site safety checks, and implement safe work practices.

**To be successful for this role you'll need**:

- Strong influencing and motivating skills with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification is nice to have with proven experience as a Construction Area Manager within the residential industry.
- Thorough knowledge of construction processes and OH&S aspects.
- Understanding of environmental aspects in building and construction projects.
- Carpentry background will be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong Conflict resolution skills.
