**The Role**
The Assistant Director Procurement and Contracting Assurance plays a crucial role in assuring Defence’s procurement and contract management practices, to support groups and services to improve compliance and performance.
This will be achieved through implementing a variety of assurance activities, including deep dives, spot checks and data monitoring. Resulting in the identification of focus areas for improvement and reporting outcomes to senior leaders across Defence.
You will lead a team responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of assurance activities across Defence procurement and contract management processes.
Utilising a range of techniques and data sources, you will be responsible for developing and undertaking complex assurance activities, including compliance and performance reviews, conducting root cause analysis and proposing actions to remediate identified issues.
Further, this role will establish and lead stakeholder engagement across groups and services to support senior executive’s awareness of any reported non-compliance and any resultant remediation required.
**About our Team**
The Procurement and Contracting Assurance (PCA) Team is an exciting new function being established within the Commercial Division of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. PCA is responsible for liaison and coordination across all Defence Groups and Services, to action the assurance activities within the Defence Procurement and Contracting Assurance Framework and endorsed program of work.
This is a high profile function with responsibility to produce regular reporting to executive committees on data driven compliance monitoring and outcomes of activities. In this team, you will have oversight of the multi-billion dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile procurement activities to support the ADF.
