The Manager Asset Services will support Infrastructure Asset Services & Major Capital Works Command including research, analysis and provide advice in accordance with relevant legislation and government priorities that impact on Queensland Corrective Services. This role provides administrative service delivery for a diverse range of clients.

**In this role you will**:

- Provide high level business management analysis and advice to staff within the IASMCW Command enabling them to deliver quality, cost effective services that are consistent with Agency strategic and operational objectives. Engage and establish protocols with stakeholder groups associated with all levels of the IASMCW Command. Manage the workload and work practices of staff engaged in the delivery of administrative support to senior management and staff within the command. Identify and develop talent to create an engaged and committed workforce
- Coach and develop staff to effectively manage all aspects of their administrative duties and promote the current performance management system and actively participate in performance management activities
- Maintain own knowledge of contemporary management practices and adopt contemporary human resource management practices to ensure development of a highly skilled, flexible and engaged team. Manage the performance appraisal and development of staff in conjunction with other Command managers and develop and foster a working environment which is motivated, productive and committed to service delivery as well as compliant with quality human resource management
- Provide leadership and support with budget preparation and human resource information for the command and monitor progress with unit managers and relevant staff. Manage the monitoring and reporting of centralised utilities for QCS ensuring processing of payments is managed effectively and ensuring usage efficiencies realised. Ensure command staff and management comply with the QCS standards relating to privacy, record keeping and management through the provision of advice and training. Provide financial and activity-based information and respond to requests for information by appropriately gathering and sourcing information for analysis, completing analysis (including variance analysis), providing technical advice and producing reports. Undertake project management functions for the command, divisional and whole of portfolio special projects on a diverse range of issues. Oversee the development and implementation of appropriate policies, strategies, standards and operational procedures for the delivery of services with tin the command. Develop systems to monitor and improve operational standards
- Provide monthly reporting analysis and advice on cost centre performance withing the Command in terms of expenditure, FTE's and activity highlighting relevant variances to assist in decision making processes. Ensure timely provision of advice and reports to the Assistant Commissioner, Board of Management, Minister's office, Executive Leadership Team regarding strategic and operational matters relating to the command.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
