**About You**:
Are you someone who has demonstrated ability and well-developed knowledge of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities? Do you have the ability to lead, influence and promote the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within an acute health service? Do you thrive in using initiative and have experience in developing strategies to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to address their health needs? Then this role could be for you.

**About the Role**:
The Women & Children's Division, provides a family friendly environment and service for the families of Northern Adelaide working closely with one another to promote a brilliant and fair working environment.

The Northern Aboriginal Birthing Program (NABP) provides a culturally designed service for pregnant Aboriginal Women seeking to birth at the Lyell McEwin Hospital. NABP works in partnership with other Obstetric service models and provides care both in and external to NALHN.

As an Aboriginal Wellbeing Officer, you will assist pregnant Aboriginal Women accessing appropriate maternity care services. In this role you will promote the health and wellbeing of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander communities by providing responsive health care which are based on prevention/early identification, social justice and build aboriginal knowledge of the physical and social detriments of health in the Aboriginal communities.

To be eligible for this role you must hold Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Community).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
