Hays has partnered with a prominent Local Government Area on Sydney's North Shore to find a trainee parking officer to join their compliance team on a casual, ongoing basis. Situated in the heart of the North Shore, this Local Government Area is committed to delivering high levels of customer service and community safety to ratepayers and visitors to the LGA alike.

**Your new role**

Joining an experienced Parking Team, you will:

- Patrol the LGA on foot and in a vehicle
- Issue parking infringements
- Educate the public on local laws
- Respond to parking complaints

**What you'll need to succeed**

We are looking for someone with a background in hospitality or frontline retail sales who has:

- High level customer service skills
- The ability to handle and diffuse conflict
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Full NSW Driving Licence
- Fully COVID vaccinated

Previous Local Government experience is not needed for this role.
**What you'll get in return**

You will join an experienced team of Compliance professionals who will be able to teach you the fundamentals of community safety and enforcement. You will work a 38-hour week, with one weekend every six weeks, and earn $35/hr+super. This role is initially casual, but has the potential to go full time.
