**About the organisation**
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) facilitates the delivery of a multi-billion-dollar platform of investment for the largest pipeline of social infrastructure in the country to support Victoria's ambitious public health, mental health and aged care infrastructure agenda. With over $16 billion in managed assets and more than $12 billion in planning and delivery, VHBA's work includes planning and building new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. This pipeline that continues to grow with a range of new projects announced through the recent State Election. VHBA also administers the replacement and upgrade of engineering infrastructure and medical equipment, alongside the asset management of existing health facilities, working in partnership with local and federal government, health services, industry and the Victorian community, to ensure Victoria's health system meets the current and future needs of all Victorians.
**About the role**
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) sets the direction and provides leadership for the development and delivery of world-leading health infrastructure across Victoria. This includes developing commercially sustainable strategies and business plans that align with the Department's objectives and ensuring timely delivery of a significant infrastructure pipeline, working as part of the wider Infrastructure Division. The CEO will also be responsible for continued scaling up and growth of the Authority, through the development of strategies, operating models, organisational structure, staffing and budgets that support Government commitments. The face of major infrastructure delivery, the CEO maintains effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and leads public facing communication campaigns in support of advocacy and branding objectives.
**About you**
A highly accomplished CEO or executive leader, you have a strong executive presence and a highly commercial and pragmatic perspective. A strategic thinker, you have a demonstrated ability to manage commercial and financial risk across multiple projects. You bring new ideas alongside your enthusiasm to challenge the status quo and effectively manage and drive change, in a highly visible context of public policy and accountability to government. With proven ability to develop culture of collaboration, you articulate a vision, build strong relationships and effectively engage your staff and stakeholders. Having established yourself as capital projects leader elsewhere, you are excited by the opportunity to deliver a multi-billion-dollar program of social infrastructure and realise the ambitious Victorian government agenda.
