**Your new role**
The Communications Specialist provides support to the company in Australia and the various business units. This role works with a variety of stakeholders on implementing strategies. Researching industry awards and interviewing team members for Meet out People articles / Life magazine. Distribution list updates, Company Life mailout, Leadership Updates, NAIDOC Week communications, SharePoint articles, Website blog articles, Social Media content creation, Service Award update / communications, Monthly video update

Internal & External Communications
- Support the production of a range of publications including weekly newsletters and the bi-annual Life magazine
- Write a variety of content, including company updates, award submissions, news blogs, advertorials etc. ensuring brand consistency and tone of voice guidelines
- Assist in the preparation of information for the annual report and monthly, quarterly and yearly sustainability reports - Maintain communication templates
- Support with updating the website and Sharepoint site

Community and Employee Engagement
- Help drive employee experience/engagement in line with business goals
- Maintain a calendar of business relevant special days and events to highlight internally and externally
- Liaise with Design and various stakeholders to create assets and videos for publication
- Provide support with relevant apps and programs
- Create organic growth opportunities through relevant, original content for all platforms
- Work with the various business units to enhance communications on Yammer, Deputy, newsletters etc (internal) and LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, website etc (external)
- Support employee recognition programs such as rolling our My Rewards, Great Workdays, Star Awards, Service Awards etc

Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support projects with photography and video production
- Attend relevant conferences and roadshows to showcase the company’s presence or collaborate with attendees to coordinate content
- Collaborate with and support interstate offices and sites on communications, social media content and projects

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Excellent corporate written and verbal communications skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of communications, social media and brand development Ability to use software packages and desktop publishing packages
- Ability to collaborate and work with stakeholders on projects
- Experience in Mailchimp, Sharepoint, Wordpress and understanding iMovie and uploading to vimeo Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Media, Social Media or relevant
