**The role**

Your role will be an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a specialised project while also assisting the close out of another and growing your project management skills - especially as the main project moves between the phases of design to construction.

Overall, your will be part of an operations team to help ensure the smooth management and administration of the project and its delivery to programme, quality, safety and financial objectives.

Key types of responsibilities will include:

- Document control and financial management
- Report writing
- Costing in reports and budgets
- General project administration duties
- Manage variations and extensions of time
- Monthly Claim management
- Supporting a busy project team - and being agile to even to help take minutes on project meetings because you will be _that_ focused on what is best for your project.

**About you**

Given the project work is underway, previous experience within design, building, construction or civil engineering would be well regarded, as would knowledge of working with or within a Defence project.

Some skills and knowledge to help you succeed in this role will include the following:

- At least 5 years previous experience in a fast-paced project driven environment
- A demonstrated history of taking initiative in your work
- An ability to juggle competing priorities and being proactively organised
- A demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines
- Exceptional MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Having a genuine interest in being part of a Collaborative team (relationship contracting)
- Possess effective communication skills. And by this we mean you can clearly present and deliver messages, direction, information, ideas, building relationships and actively encourage others to share their views and concerns.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

**Education**:

- Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Project Administration: 5 years (required)
- Document Control: 3 years (required)
- Construction: 4 years (required)
