Document Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Document Control Specialist to undertake an initial 12-month contract. Office is based in the heart of Perth's CBD, offering the flexibility to work from home occasionally. This position will entail occasional project site visits as and when required. Once the project moves into the execution phase, the position will be primarily site-based.

About the role:

- Performs document control and management of project information in support of the project team.
- Responsible for the registration, distribution and disposition of project documentation in accordance with documented policies and procedures.
- Supports document management systems and related methodologies, strategies and systems for a program of capital projects that allow project organisations to capture, store, retrieve, share, and archive electronic records and documents.
- Supports the implementation of program information management strategies and systems and to be expert user of chosen information management systems.
- Monitors the proper usage of the project document, data or model management systems and related procedures.
- Advance consideration of information management through support, mentoring and training of project teams.
- Provide backup Systems Administration for the Project Document Management Systems.
- Explore and offer solutions to Document Control issues and challenges.

About You:

- 5+ years experience in document control in major project development and execution in mining or heavy industry
- Proficient user of Microsoft office suites and SharePoint
- Experience using Scenario software
- highly desirable not essential
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable and able to find ways of solving challenges
- Attention to detail, conscientious and able to work self-reliantly with minimum supervision
- Sound communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft suite skills
- Timeliness and accuracy of project reports and registers
