About the role:
In this role you will:

- Manage relationships, negotiate, develop and prioritise across multiple clients/projects
- Develop, implement and evaluate strategic engagement plans, identify risks and opportunities to respond to Regional and Rural communities priorities and issues.
- Promote departmental initiatives, programs and events in your region to ensure awareness and engagement
- Support senior officers with preparation for inter-departmental meetings and represent the Department at meetings and local events as required

This position requires:

- There are no mandatory requirements for this role however, possession of qualifications in project management, community engagement or a related field is desirable.
- Training in IAP2 preferable but not mandatory.
- Travel away from the centre will be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods.
- It is highly desirable that applicants reside in the relevant regional location and have a current knowledge of local issues.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
