Management of liability litigated claims in the motor space

**The Role**:
Our client is a national leader in the Motor insurance industry. They are seeking a Litigated Claims Specialist with a general insurance background to grow their successful team in the third-party claims' litigation space.

This company has recently gone through a slight restructure in their recoveries and settlements space. Due to this, they are looking to bring in an experienced litigated claims specialist to assist team members with litigated files.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage a small portfolio of litigated claims across domestic, commercial and heavy motor insurance.
- Build and maintain relationships by liaising with internal and external stakeholders including legal panels of solicitors and litigators.
- Advise the claims team as a technical specialist in the litigated space.
- Ensure there is a focus on the delivery of outcomes in order to maximise success rates
- Negotiation, emphasis on savings and an understanding of litigated motor highly desired.
- Training of claims staff on litigated files and assistance around complex negotiation of claims.

**Experience**
- **Litigated general insurance claims experience necessary.**:

- **Complex settlements, settlements in litigated team highly regarded.**:

- Ability to deal with solicitors and legal panels
- Experience communicating with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
- Experience managing highly complex litigation in insurance.
