About the role
The Procedure Office provides administrative and research support to the Chamber and senior officers within the Department and is the principal office responsible for answering inquiries from the Department's customers. Your key responsibilities will be leading and managing staff in the Procedure Office, providing procedural advice and ensuring high quality service delivery. You will be required to be on duty on a rostered basis when the Legislative Assembly is sitting, including working to the end of the sitting at least once during a sitting week.
About you
To succeed in the role, you will need to have a sound understanding of the operations and functions of the Legislative Assembly of Victoria, and knowledge of parliamentary practices and procedures, and relevant Acts of Parliament. You will have proven staff management experience and a commitment to meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be a strength, together with your capacity to analyse issues and provide written information clearly and succinctly.
