We currently have an outstanding leadership opportunity for a talented leader to join our Digital, Data & Cyber Security (DDC) organisation as Head of DDC for our Maritime business. This role will ideally be based out of Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney.

As a key member of the Maritime DDC leadership team, reporting to the Chief Information Digital Officer, the Head of DDC (Digital Data & Cyber) Maritime is a rare opportunity for an experienced executive to assume responsibility of developing and delivering DDC strategy, services and outcome for the Maritime lines of business including the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) & Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) Program, whilst ensuring that the strategy aligns with business needs and objectives through strong stakeholder management.

This key executive leadership role will ensure that DDC people, process and technologies are mobilised across the Maritime lines of business, and DDC services are delivered aligned to the programme objectives.

**In more specific terms you will**:

- Be responsible to contribute to set the strategic direction towards the Maritime DDC strategy and delivery of DDC services
- Be responsible for the development, review and approval of policy, procedures and controls in the area of portfolio, programme, project and change management, and co-ordinate with the DDC Leadership Team and business stakeholders
- Provide leadership and propose ideas on how technology can accelerate and enable the strategy of the Maritime organisation
- Develop and maintain critical strategic and collaborative relationships with the customer, partners and third party suppliers and define/agree a technology roadmap
- Lead and develop a robust DDC Maritime capability, driving the resource plan to enable the program objectives
- Be responsible for the governance, assurance, reporting and overall performance of all DDC Maritime projects, ensuring conformance to Lifecycle Management (LCM)
- Liaise with BAE Systems Australia's functions and other DDC teams to establish requirements and identify, initiate and lead significant capability development programs to drive a successful outcome for the Maritime business
- Ensure that all systems and data are cyber secured and meet the needs of different regulators

**About you**

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:

- Tertiary qualifications in IT (Information Technology) or business with an experience of running an DDC organisation ideally within a large multinational and multi discipline company
- Extensive experience in a senior leadership role with a confidence and competence in managing a large budget and team
- Demonstrated experience in business transformation and the delivery of projects
- Highly developed leadership, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to use multiple leadership styles to motivate performance and engage the workforce to manage through change
- A high level of personal integrity, discretion, initiative and self-motivation and an ability to work under pressure across a multi-layered approach in complex environments
- A thorough understanding of IT trends and good practice with an experience in managing and leveraging value from third party suppliers
- Be comfortable with ambiguity and lead with strong strategic vision with an ability to operationalise plans and deliver change through positive engagement of others
- Be flexible to accommodate interstate and international travel
