The Data and Digital Group provides the data, infrastructure and systems to underpin the Bureau’s core operations, from measurement and collection through to production and dissemination. The Group ensures that data is managed at a whole-of-enterprise level along the full value chain from the observations network through to the high-performance computation needed to generate forecasts and downstream products and services. The Group also supports the delivery of products and services to customers through a range of digital channels, with a focus on user-centred designs that respond to customer needs.

We are seeking an experienced Digital Data Analyst to join our Digital Analytics Team within the Digital Channels and Customer Experience Design team through reporting to Digital Analytics Manager. This important role will help the Bureau to deliver services that meet user needs. You will have previously worked in similar roles with demonstrated capacity to identify and communicate business insights derived from in-depth analysis of complex datasets.

As a Digital Data Analyst, you bring creativity and data-driven skills, creating data visualisations that bring digital narrative to life.

To be considered for this role you have proven experience in using digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, BigQuery and data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Google Looker Studio deriving actionable insights by combining information from different datasets. You will be proficient in SQL, Python or R in addition to digital analytics technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

You must also have prepared analytics reports and dashboards for business stakeholders and senior executives and demonstrated effective communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills. You can demonstrate how you have effectively worked within a cross functional team including designers, developers and product owners.
