Due to organisation growth a great opportunity has arisen for a
**Service Coordinator** with a proactive, can-do attitude and a professional warm manner that reflects the values of the organisation.
Key to your success in this role will be your will excellent communication skills enabling effective internal and external stakeholder relations, as well as an adaptive and flexible work style, demonstrating responsiveness to issues and the capacity to deal with ambiguity.
We are seeking an experienced person with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to supporting the efficient operation of the organisation
**You will be required to**:
- Work with and support our Senior Management team to oversee the daily operations of our services.
- Coordinate, recruit, mentor, and supervise support workers
- Establish support plans and risk assessments for participants that reflect the participant’s needs and goals
- Ensure restrictive practices reporting is completed within the required time frame and to the required authorities
- Work collaboratively with all client’s families, teams, and external stakeholders to facilitate positive outcomes for people requiring highly complex, individual support services.
- Liaise with staff to deliver support in line with support plans, funding, and client choice.
**What we are looking for**:
- Significant experience with NDIS and management expertise
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience in working with the Department of Child Protection.
- Experience in Rosters of Care, understanding the NDIS Price Guide and quoting process
- The ability to work well in a team environment and independently and proactively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain good working relationships
- The ability to handle sensitive client matters discretely, display empathy and maintain confidentiality
**About You**:
- Experience in leading, managing and coaching staff
- Strong knowledge of the disability sector and NDIS, preferably experience with Supported Independent Living
- Experience in a dynamic management role that is fast-paced where no two days are the same
- High attention to detail with a strong work ethic and a passion for supporting people with a disability
- High level of customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to be effective in all areas of risk management and incident reporting
- A clinical background in disability services will be well regarded.
**Essential criteria**:
- Current DHS Disability Employment Screening / NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
- You have the right to work in Australia
- current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Mandatory Background Check
