The Milk Research team at Lifeblood is driven by curiosity to understand our donors, the best ways to process donated breast milk, and how donated breast milk can best be used to improve health outcomes for babies.

Our goal is to deliver leading edge research that translates into evidence-based business practice, while expanding academic knowledge about milk donors.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to work across many different research projects exploring donor health, behaviour, motivations and attitudes to milk donation.

The primary function of your role will be to coordinate participant recruitment and data collection. You’ll work directly with our milk donors and healthcare providers as well as with other researchers in and outside of Lifeblood to conduct projects to understand milk donor behaviours and motivations.

Honours degree or equivalent work experience in public health, epidemiology, social sciences, or a related field

Previous experience in a research role that included project co-ordination and participant recruitment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce and maintain high-quality, accurate records

Experience in the analysis of quantitative or qualitative data, including familiarity with analytic and statistical software

Previous experience with REDCap, Qualtrics or similar survey tool

Previous experience communicating research outcomes in high quality presentations, written reports, and/or journal articles

Ability to engage with a wide range of individuals, including research participants, other researchers, internal or external stakeholders, and external collaborators, as appropriate to the role

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining high quality standards

This is a fixed term, part time (0.6 FTE) role for 12 months. You will report directly to a senior member of the Milk Research Team (Program Lead) and you will be based at one of our vibrant offices, with some working from home flexibility available.
