Established in 1990, Belmont Veterinary Centre has become a favourite in Geelong for cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and pocket pets. This large facility is one of only four gold standard cat friendly accredited practices in Victoria. We have a dedicated cat only consulting room with climbing obstacles and hidey holes, as well as a cat only hospital ward. At Belmont, you will gain valuable experience with the support of a caring and friendly team.

We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Manager to assist the lead veterinarian with achieving clinical and business success. This role will suit an individual that enjoys contributing to the success of others by sharing their own knowledge and expertise.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the team in executing the day-to-day operations to maximise efficiency and a smooth workflow
- Ensuring the client experience is excellent
- Recruitment, rostering, and management of staff & their development
- Implementation and maintenance of uncompromising standards of care
- Promoting and upholding the Company’s vision and values
- Leading and developing the team and maintaining a positive workplace culture
- Problem solving and teaching from any issues that may arise
- Creating and implementing local marketing initiatives
- Work closely with the Lead Veterinarian to review P&L’s and achieve targets and budgets

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Proven business management and team leadership experience. A Cert IV in Business is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in a similar position in the vet industry will be highly regarded
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and time management skills with an ability to work to deadlines
- Able to delegate and empower staff
- Experience in the Veterinary industry preferred although not essential, but proven ability to ensure an excellent client experience in a previous management role is essential.
