As Deputy Head of Dealing, Australia you will Implement risk management and trading desk policies and be responsible for the risk profile, execution quality, and profitability of the Australian trading desk.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the head of the Australian dealing team and assist colleagues in client-facing roles with customer orders and requests
- Act as a leader within the dealing desk team and support junior colleagues
- Responsible for risk management of the global risk book during Australian hours, working closely with overseas colleagues for handovers of positions, exposure, and any outstanding client, partner, or liquidity issues
- Efficiently monitor, identify, control, and resolve risk, as well as any trading-related issues
- Manage liquidity relationships with brokers and trading venues
- Maintain and improve pricing across asset classes, including internally constructed custom price feeds
- Make recommendations to grow the business through the expansion of product offerings catered to the clients' appetite
- Demonstrate solid understanding of the retail trading market and identify areas for improvement
- Regularly provide a high-level overview of trading desk operations to management
- Work closely with the commercial team to make decisions on potential business in real-time, assisting in the pricing and trading review of any significant potential partners, clients, or transactions
- Report to the Head of Dealing, Australia and co-operate with colleagues on cross-functional projects and work

**Skills**:

- Highly numerate and analytical approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with members of staff at all levels
- Strong team player who is willing to raise the standard of the team and the organisation
- Deep understanding of financial risks and how to manage them

**Requirements**:

- At least 5-7 years work experience in a dealing desk role at a major retail CFD broker
- Educated to degree level at a top-tier university
- Hands-on experience managing pricing systems and risk management of trading positions
- Experienced in managing retail trading platform systems and executing client orders effectively and efficiently
- In-depth knowledge of market risk analysis and quantitative modelling
- Professional qualifications as required by local regulations e.g. Certificate in Securities or equivalent
