Located in the heart of Kew, Melbourne, Genazzano FCJ College is Victoria’s only Catholic all-girls’ boarding school.

With a reputation for growing leaders, an exciting opportunity has arisen given the recent appointment of two senior leaders to promotional positions, including principalships. This role will appeal to an experienced leader who is passionate about girls’ education, creating conditions for innovation within a vibrant learning community that simultaneously promotes spiritual development and academic excellence in preparing students for a purposeful future.

The Deputy Principal reports to the Principal and is responsible for shaping, managing and overseeing whole school operations, specifically student wellbeing, staffing, curriculum, teaching, timetabling, enrolments and compliance. The Deputy Principal will be an astute leader, who enjoys the complexity of working with teams of leaders, to deliver excellence in a high quality environment. This leadership position is integral to the articulation of the vision and direction, responsible for the implementation of the systems, procedures, structures and protocols that support and build the Catholic identity and culture of the school. Importantly, the Deputy Principal is a trusted support for the Principal, acting as a conduit for students, parents, staff and the broader school community.

Leading with heart, head and hand, the Deputy Principal will be operationally strong, with a keen ability to attend to detail. Additionally, this role requires experience in leading wellbeing within a school context. The Deputy Principal fosters a growth-promoting workplace by actively guiding and mentoring others, deals effectively with change, and nourishes positive and collaborative relationships with empathy and skilful communication.
