Manufacturing Manager

**The Role**

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our friendly, professional, and highly driven Operations Team in Epping, Vic. Reporting to the Operations Manager VIC, you will take full accountability and responsibility for the day-to-day running of Steel Water Tank manufacturing while developing and coaching our current Employees along the way. You will have the responsibility of the production facilities and be required to identify and implement manufacturing processes and systems to create greater efficiencies.

**Main Responsibilities include**:

- Ensure all employees on the factory floor adhere to the WH&S policies & practices
- Ensure all inductions and SWMS are completed in full and training matrix updated
- Identify, assess, correct, and report to you any safety issues, risks, hazards, and concerns
- Actively involved in factory WH&S improvements
- Maintain manufacturing housekeeping as per the 5S set of tools to ensure materials and products are not misplaced and are in an organised manner
- Ensure that manufacturing team members/operators are trained to the current work instructions (WI100 series)
- Quality issues are reviewed, CAR’s raised and MDR’s completed
- Quality standards are followed throughout the factory
- Paperwork is followed and filled out as per the QMS. This includes the preventative maintenance and calibration requirements
- Provide technical assistance in manufacturing for continual process improvement
- Perform quality audits on processes to document work instructions
- Work closely with the service division to feedback and improve product quality
- Interface between production and management for production status.
- Control team leaders and production workers to ensure the plan is met to achieve on-time delivery. (Line balancing)
- Ensure production targets are being met and give advice and support if not
- Ensure consumables and inventory are used and accounted for correctly and accurately
- Build performance capability in the team
- Address underperformance and unacceptable conduct
- Ensure mandatory compliance is completed in a timely manner
- Actively engage with team members to build a high-performance team culture
- Model behaviors consistent with Company values - integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and courage
- Cooperate with and support the compliance management system and encourage workplace colleagues to do the same
- Develop employee awareness of product compliance obligations
- Actively participate in corrective actions from concerns or internal audits.
- Ensure that all employees within your control are complying with the organisations product compliance obligations, policies, processes and procedures
- Integrate product compliance obligations into existing business practises and procedures in your area of responsibility and encourage a compliance culture
- Encourage employees to raise product compliance concerns.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing or similar
- 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Great understanding of LEAN and 5s
- Current Drivers License
- Ability to adapt communication style and use influencing techniques to create positive outcomes
- Professional communication and presentation together with a positive attitude
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and work effectively with the team to achieve business outcomes
- Willingness to actively participate in various company projects with all departments as required
- Understanding of WHS general requirements in manufacturing and office environments
