Your new company
We have partnered with a company to assist in the recruitment of a Production Planner. Be part of an exciting business where employees are recognised, and career growth is supported. Your new role Reporting to the Planning Manager you will plan production requirements and orders raw materials and packaging to meet service levels and business inventory targets, while maintaining a production plan that effectively utilises available resources.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this position you may possess some of the following;
- The ability to programme batches through the appropriate manufacturing routings balancing number of jobs per day to meet plant capacity
- Experience with Schedule Adherence, Adherence to routing rules, achieve schedule sign off
- SAP or similar scheduling system experience
- Balancing filling requirements to meet plant filling capacity
- Proven experience with compliance with internal and external audits, Incident reporting
- Inventory management - Recognise errors in the MRP which can lead to stock imbalances and over/under production, stock turns etc
- Co-ordinate the weekly packaging requirements from suppliers
- Review/change orders to consume onsite excess packaging
