**About the role**
Interested in assisting the Senior Financial Accountant, maintain the integrity of RACQ Group’s bank and general ledger clearing accounts through reconciliation activities? We are looking for a new Reconciliations Officer to performing efficient, accurate and timely data analysis and reconciliation of large volumes of transaction flows through RACQ’s various payment systems to bank and general ledger clearing accounts daily. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure RACQ Group’s bank accounts are reconciled daily. Perform extensive data analysis and investigation on unreconciled deposits and/or system-side transactions, ensuring these are cleared on a timely basis.
- Ensure any variances in clearing accounts are investigated on a timely basis.
- Perform monthly general ledger reconciliation of accounts allocated to the Accounts Receivable team with accuracy and ensuring that any variances are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
- Identification and escalation of any issues apparent within the reconciliations that may pose and financial or reputational risk.
- Collaborate with others in direct team to achieve the required goals.
**About you**
- Ability to analyse large amounts of data from different source systems quickly and accurately to ensure quality of work
- Ability to solve problems, perform numerical calculations and interpret data in different situations
- Experience completing bank and clearing account reconciliations within a large organisation
- Competent in the MS Office365 suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to work to schedule and time management skills
- Good communication skills, particularly the escalation of issues
- Operate in a collaborative and team orientated environment
- A basic understanding of accounting and/or book-keeping
