Our reputation for delicious, hand-crafted, baked goods extends throughout Melbourne and beyond. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship, specialising in slow ferment sourdoughs and viennoiserie, using the best local ingredients available. We have three retail locations - Yarraville, South Melbourne & Richmond and a thriving wholesale business too.

Cobb Lane is seeking a dedicated and experienced store Supervisor to lead our South Melbourne Market team to provide genuine hospitality experiences to our guests. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations and managing a small, close-knit team. If you have a proven track record in hospitality management we would love to hear from you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cultivate a positive workplace culture, reflecting genuine hospitality to both our team and guests
- Co-ordinate daily store operations, including production, inventory, promotions, merchandising and packaging and maintain quality control
- Train, mentor and motivate our team to achieve the best outcome for our customers
- Ensure workplace satisfaction and growth within our small team through regular check-ins, training and implementing pathways for growth
- Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure smooth workflow
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and special orders in a professional manner
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for business growth
- Ensure compliance to both Food Safety Standards and OHS obligations

Support
- You’ll join a small, close-knit and passionate management team
- The owners are actively involved in day-to-day operations
- An incredibly supportive community of traders within the market space

Your Experience and Skills:

- Previous experience (2+ years) in a leadership role in a fast-paced hospitality setting
- Passion for all things delicious
- Exceptional customer service and clear communication skills
- Solutions-based approach
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Personable, approachable and lead by example

The Role
- Full time, 38 hours per week across four days
- Market trading days: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday (and some Public Holidays)
- Competitive salary
