NSW Government organisation seeking a Procurement Officer in Sydney CBD
**Your new company**
NSW Government organisation seeking a Procurement Officer for an initial 6-month assignment with the potential for extension.
**Your new role**
As Procurement Officer you will establish scope of works with the assets team to support tendering documentation. Your key responsibilities will include
- Work with the Procurement Manager to develop sourcing strategy
- Provide support for various tenders including facilities management, repairs and cleaning services
- Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Evaluate tenders as part of a committee
- Support with supplier selection during contract negotiation and implementation
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in a similar procurement role
- Knowledge of NSW Procurement practices and NSW Buy is desirable
- Previous tendering experience is essential
- Excellent communication skills
