About the Role
Our Technical Services team has an opportunity for a Specialist - GIS to support Geographical Information Systems at our operations. In this role you will gather, manage, process and deliver spatial and non-spatial data in 2D and 3D mapping tools while focussing on continuous improvement and increased value for Whitehaven Coal operations.
This is a Brisbane based position on a Monday to Friday roster.
What You’ll Do
- Capture, edit, manipulate, manage and share geospatial data
- Create and maintain Web GIS information products and related workflows
- Facilitate spatial outputs, including high quality mapping, for internal and external stakeholders
- Work with other GIS professionals to improve GIS processes and data standards

What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualification in GIS, Geomatics, Spatial Science or Surveying
- A minimum of 5 years’ ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Desktop experience preferred
- Experience with creating and managing automated geospatial workflows using Python / ModelBuilder and FME
- Experience with Web GIS / Esri’s ArcGIS Platform
- Enterprise Geodatabase content management experience
