**About The Finance Department**

The Finance Department brings a commercial perspective to business decision making and supports the Royal Women's business performance by providing the appropriate financial and business information and advice, as well as driving the organisation's business risk management program.

**About the role**

This role provides a permanent set of responsibilities, and a training program designed to develop the financial skills to enable the staff member to take on more senior roles within the Finance function.

This position has two elements
- Accounts Payable Team Leader; and
- Trainee Accountant.

The Accounts payable Team leader is responsible for the management of the Accounts Payable team and the Accounts Payable system. This ranges from creating and maintaining suppliers, entering invoices, making payments, reconciling supplier statements and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger.

The Trainee Accountant aspect of the role is a staff development position aimed to develop a staff member early in their career gain an understanding of the full financial function across the Finance Department. The position will assist the Financial and Business Management Accounting team with the provision of accurate and timely processing and analysis of data.

A regular day will see you:

- Entering invoices into the Accounts Payable system
- Resolving supplier and cost centre manager queries
- Learning how to undertake the finance function using an established training program that rotates through all the departments within the Finance function

- Tertiary qualification in commerce / accounting or related disciplines
- ACA or CPA (or equivalent) qualifications or studying towards them
- Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable Team working to tight deadlines
