Job Description:
Bluemoon is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers. In this role, you will empower individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives within their communities.

**We are in need of an individual to fulfil the role in Bacchus Marsh and Melton region.**

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including their homes and community environments.
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and household tasks.
- Supporting individuals in developing essential life skills and fostering meaningful social connections.
- Implementing individualised support plans and goals in collaboration with the individual, their families, and other support professionals.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive environment that respects the rights, dignity, and choices of individuals with disabilities.

**Requirements**:

- Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Current valid driver's license, comprehensive insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or related field (highly desirable).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Schedule:

- Morning shift

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- related field: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- First Aid Certification (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
