**DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER**

**ABOUT US**

**Empowering Care **Pty Ltd is an NDIS service provider in the Western Suburbs providing services to enhance and promote the dignity of every individual who receives supports.

**OPPORTUNITY**

We are seeking disability support workers with **Mental Health and complex needs** experience to assist participants in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

We are looking for workers in the areas of:
Caroline Springs

Truganina

Altona

Hoppers Crossing

Werribee

And surrounding areas

As we are quickly growing as an organisation, we are looking to expand our team of workers, if you are reliable and resilient and willing to work with participants with varying abilities, consider this a great opportunity to join our team.

This role will involve **travelling to various locations** to provide essential supports to participants.

**WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING PEOPLE WHO HAVE**:

- An Understanding and experience of Mental Health.
- Experience in the aged care sector
- Experience in behavioral issues.
- A positive attitude and can build rapport quickly
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with a happy disposition
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
- Current NDIS check required and must be provided prior to commencement of employment.
- Fully Covid Vaccinated, including booster.
- First Aid/CPR Certificate.
- A current driver’s licence (full licence preferred).
- Fully comprehensive car insurance (must be able to provide evidence).

A day in the life as a Disability Support Worker with Empowering Care may see you supporting our Participant with some of the following:

- Building on individual strengths and enabling participants to reach their goals.
- 24-hour complex supports
- Community access and transport
- Domestic and Personal care

**HOW TO APPLY**

Pay rate will be commensurate on qualifications and experience.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $30.46 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- NDIS Workers Screening Check (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
