Due to expansions within our Carrier Services Division an exciting opportunity has become available for Commercial Analyst at Macquarie park location.

**12 Month FTC +Extension**

**Key Accountabilities**:
This position is responsible for providing commercial support to Commercial Evaluation and Uecomm Product Management to enable the execution and governance of the Pricing Approval Framework.

Defining and managing the pricing framework for Uecomm products consists of the following key areas:

- Provide financial analysis, support and guidance to product management in relation to Product pricing, cost and margins.
- CPQ - new products
- Regular product pricing performance report (executive audience)
- Construction and maintenance of product profitability models, to support quoting and contract process.
- Preparation of management reports, recommendations to senior management to support proposed outcomes and project management of various initiatives across EB Commercial Evaluation.
- Reporting and analysis to ensure governance, and identify risk in Pricing Approval Framework

**This will entail**:

- Working with Product Marketing to ensure standard pricing plans are developed and set within the guidelines of the pricing empowerment framework and have a consistent market approach within EB portfolio for standard products. Provide Market pricing thought leadership on pricing structure and pricing policy on new product launches, taking into account product profitability, objectives of the Annual Operating Plan and approved Business Cases and risks in processes and quoting and contract systems.
- Manage profitability and price erosion by providing analysis and recommendations which reflect market prices and commercial risk.
- Ensure process and tools used to generate quotes and contracts adhere to pricing framework and reliable and accurate in pricing and margins generated, enabling the Pricing team and Sales to respond quickly and competitively to customer opportunities.
- Support and maintaining Excel Quote tools and online Quoting systems in relation to pricing, costs, margins and commercial business rules.
- Using TM1 to update, maintain and extract data as well as support the team with queries
- Document requirements and processes that are needed by the team and communicated with developers
- Support and maintain Product Cost Rate Cards and Pricing tables.
- Provide commercial expertise and support on Ad Hoc basis as required.
- Develop and Produce product and pricing performance report with analysis and insights on the sales pipeline by product, customer and key profitability process with quality input from Sales and Marketing Manager.

**Who we’re looking for?**
- Telecom/IT exposure preferable
- Extensive experience in a financial/commercial role with significant experience in complex financial modelling and evaluation and business case development, including product costing and pricing.
- Technical understanding of telecommunication markets and products
- Understanding of TM1 and being able to document, update and navigate the system
- High analytical competency in assessing product profitability, return on investment, margin.
- Initiate, create and deliver requirements and documentation
- Ability to develop and interpret complex financial models and provide recommendations to senior management

**Eligibility**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/ Accounting, Marketing
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player, can work with virtual team members
- Ability to develop relationships and contacts throughout the organization
- Confidence and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management,
- Proven self-starter
- Strong commitment and high levels of personal motivation
