**The Firm & The Role**
Our client is a medium size law firm that has experienced exponential growth in the last few years, especially with respect to their family law practice.
The family law team is busy and they have a strategy to grow even further. To this end, the team is looking to recruit a senior family lawyer at the Partner, Principal or Special Counsel level. Ideally with specialist accreditation.
This role will see you having high levels of autonomy, client responsibility, leading the family law practice as well as developing the existing family lawyers.
This is a firm that believes in settling before court (where possible) and negotiating matters in a calm, reasonable, positive and effective way.
This would suit a senior family lawyer who wants more freedom, autonomy and more of a leadership role.
**About You**
- Be a Partner, Principal or Special Counsel in family law (a client following is not essential); advantageous would be specialist accreditation
- Have strong technical skills
- Leadership qualities (eg influence, persuasion, the ability to mentor and develop the existing family lawyers
- Be able to develop and foster strong client relationships
- Be able to market and business develop and assist in the further growth of the practice
- Have the ability to work under pressure
- Have the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Have energy, drive, enthusiasm, a genuine passion for family law as well as a genuine passion for helping their team reach its full potential
