**A place to make a difference**:
In this part-time permanent position (30.4 hours per week) based in Brisbane, you’ll work within a team to provide crisis responses to women and children escaping violence. You’ll provide risk assessment and safety planning as well as some case management and referral-based supports within a refuge setting. Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll work within a rotational roster Monday - Sunday between 8am & 8pm. We value maintaining a healthy work life balance and have incorporated considerations to support this.
Please note: the role attracts some mínimal rostered on-call responsibilities for all staff members.
- You will make a difference by_: _
- Facilitating the provision of safe accommodation to women and children escaping domestic and family violence
- Conducting thorough risk and needs assessments, within a trauma informed, Safe and Together case management framework
- Working with families to source appropriate, safe and sustainable accommodation free from violence and/or connecting families with services to meet their needs
- Working collaboratively with a team of specialists to provide best-practice, integrated responses to DFV

- A Bachelor/Diploma of Social Work, Psychology or relevant Human Service Qualification and/or significant experience in a similar service
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence, including the impact on children
- Experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Current driver’s licence
- It is a genuine requirement of this position that it be filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act, 1991._
