**ABOUT THE** OPPORTUNITY**

The Discretionary Payments Section manages sensitive and complex claims with strong engagement across Government agencies. As an Assistant Director you will need to demonstrate:

- strong leadership and management capabilities.
- an ability to provide clear and concise advice to Finance executive, Government agencies and Ministers.
- strategic and critical thinking with an ability to understand broader Commonwealth legal risk and policy considerations.
- your ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including with legal service providers and agencies.
