**About the role**

UGL is searching for a **Subcontracts and Commercial Sustainability Manager** **to join their leadership team in Brisbane. This role will lead the national subcontracting across UGL’s Services Division and ESG accountabilities for a responsible supply chain.

As a senior member of the Business Services Team other key responsibilities will include:

- Working with the project delivery and tender teams to develop and implement robust procurement management plans, category management frameworks and a strategic sourcing approach
- Developing and negotiating best practice subcontracts
- Identifying and managing subcontracting risks and opportunities and collaborating with the project and commercial teams to support the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects for UGL and its clients.

In this role, you will develop and implement the Services Division ESG supply chain approach to align with UGL’s Corporate Sustainability Plan, including ESG supply chain strategy governance, KPIs, subcontractor performance, data capture and reporting.

**About You**

As a subcontracts and commercial leader, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, you will lead and support change and utilise your customer-focused approach and strategic vision to excel in this role.

Ideally, your skills and experience include:

- A tertiary qualification in law, business, engineering, quantity surveying, supply chain, procurement, or project management
- Demonstrated experience in complex subcontracting and procurement environments
- Extensive experience and knowledge of subcontracting commercial instruments, their terms, and their negotiation
- Transferable experience in engineering, defence, power generation, oil and gas, mining or the utilities industry
- Developed experience in motivating and leading teams to success
