UGL Defence has recently been awarded a contract for the Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance of the Defence Fuels Network. As we enter the long-term contract, we are recruiting a Subcontracts Officer to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.
**The Role**
Reporting the AIC & Supply Chain Manager, the Subcontract Officer, will join a brand-new team and work closely with the growing project delivery team. This role will be based in our newly created Defence Hub in North Sydney and will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Develop and negotiate risk balanced and commercially astute subcontracts
- Support project stakeholders with delivery of projects on-time and on-budget
- Assist with development and execution of supplier relationship framework
- Provide governance, advice and guidance regarding UGL’s procurement policy requirements and industry best practices
- Maintain contract registers, provide regular reporting and participate in audits as required
**On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team**:
- Relevant degree or qualifications within law, business, engineering supply chain, procurement or project management. CIPS or equivalent will be highly regarded
- Proven experience working with complex subcontracting and procurement environments
- Sound understanding and working experience of subcontracting commercial instruments, their terms and negotiation
- Self-motivated and driven individual with exceptional communication skills, proven experience across various level of internal and external stakeholders
- Currently holds, or ability to obtain relevant Security Clearance
