**The Role**
The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) Business Support Officer has responsibility for:

- Providing end-to-end APS Recruitment services to the Branch including stakeholder engagement, AASB eRecruit management, pre/during/post recruitment administration, Interview and Referee Report coordination and support with on-boarding new staff.
- Management of central sources of workforce data. This includes production of biannual data reporting, administrative support for forecasting, organisational movements and succession planning.
- Administration and reporting of workforce feedback to capture information such as the patterns of work, career and job satisfaction, training gaps, compliance metrics such as leave balances and compliance against mandatory training objectives.
- Data analysis and presentation of workforce data in key AASB publications including providing input to strategy development for reward and recognition, retention and talent management.
- The Business Support Officer will ensure data is easily understood through the provision of concise and accurate analysis and communication of trends and insights in written and visual formats. Their engagement with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships and formulate solutions to data and information requirements for current and emerging workforce issues will be key to their success.

**About our Team**
Located in Brisbane CBD, as part of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), the Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) Executive and Support team are critical enablers of Defence capability by supporting our Systems Program Offices (SPO) and Project Offices (PO) in their delivery of military aviation systems to the Australian Army.

The Executive and Support team have overarching responsibility for Branch Business Management achieved through liaison and coordination with the SPOs and POs, with the goal of continuous improvement to streamline and simplify processes.

Specifically, the Executive and Support team are able to achieve its core function and organisational goals, on behalf of the branch, through six key service areas including Quality Management, Security, Work Health and Safety, Workforce Management, Reserve Management and Commercial Support.

You will have:

- Experience in providing recruitment services, including on-boarding new starters.
- Possess positive and confident verbal communication skills to establish and support effective stakeholder engagement.
- Experience extracting, analysing and reporting data.
- Data management and governance experience.
- The ability to naturally build and foster positive working relationships to ensure information is gathered, analysed and articulated in a systematic, timely and accurate fashion.
- Have an understanding of, or a motivation to learn about the Department of Defence, AASB and issues that impact upon it.
- Possess strong written communication skills, including the ability to communicate information to a variety of audiences.
- Manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
