Public Sector people is proudly partnering with Central Goldfields Shire Council to appoint a Manager Governance, Property and Risk reporting directly to the General Manager Corporate Performance.

The position will be responsible for the effective provision of all governance functions of Council, and for developing Council’s property, risk management and procurement activities towards best practice.

The Manager Governance Property and Risk will lead a team made up of Council’s governance, property, risk management and procurement staff and manage contractors providing these services to Council.

As a key member of Council’s management team, this role will work collaboratively with all areas of Council, Councillors, community members, relevant external agencies and government departments and will contribute to the long term strategic and financial direction of Council.

To be considered for this role:

- Ideally hold a degree or diploma in Governance or Risk Management
- Possess complimentary industry experience in governance, property, risk management and reporting
- Have the ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure appropriate outcomes for Council
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and work within a team environment
- Hold proven capabilities in developing long term strategies and policies
- Possess clear, concise and effective communication skills

Working history in a similar role within Local Councils (or State Government) will be preferred. Pre-employment, COVID vaccinations evidence and probity checks will be required to commence. Flexible working arrangements with onsite requirements as per the role.

The REM - Local Government - Band 8 - Range Circa $111K - $124K + Super (depending on qualifications and experience). Full private use of a vehicle is available, cost deduced from cash. Indicative cost approx. $10K depending on vehicle chosen.
