**Location**: Melbourne or Sydney (Flexible Hybrid working)

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the **Head of Policy and Regulation** will play a pivotal role in establishing Tilt Renewables as a trusted partner in the renewable energy sector. Reporting directly to the EGM Government & Sustainability, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive policy strategy that aligns with our corporate and strategic objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop Policy and Regulation Strategy: Identify key strategic policy and regulation areas and develop objectives and approaches to address them.
- Monitor Policy and Regulatory Trends: Stay informed about industry developments and run the internal Policy Working Group to keep policy positions current.
- Provide Policy and Regulatory Analysis: Deliver in-depth analysis on government regulations, policy, and market trends to the Executive team, CEO, and Board, identifying risks, opportunities, and impacts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations, and regulatory bodies. Lead consultations and advocacy engagements and prepare relevant submissions.
- Mentor and Guide: Provide guidance and mentorship to Tilt employees representing the company in third-party policy working groups.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor regulatory developments and compliance requirements, ensuring Tilt Renewables adheres to all laws and regulations.
- Support Corporate Strategy: Collaborate with the Executive team, CEO, and other leadership members to develop and execute the corporate strategy.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Proven experience in policy and regulatory roles within the energy sector (10 years plus)
- Strong ability to communicate complex policy and regulatory matters concisely and compellingly
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- In-depth knowledge of government regulations, policy, and market trends in the renewable energy industry
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members and get things done
