**About the Role**:
A leading government organisation is seeking a Technical Specialist to join their team and ensure that the end user computing (collaboration, productivity, messaging, packaging and deployment, device management) suppliers deliver cost efficient and reliable IT Services. The purpose of this role is to support the oversight and operational governance of end user service suppliers to ensure compliance with operational service delivery commitments including cross-functional service obligations. This is a 12 month contract, paying up to $925 per day + super, based in Macquarie Park + WFH.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform complex system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Reduce operational risk and improve availability of the server infrastructure
- Develop, maintain and perform high level operational procedures and ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently
- Install or upgrade computer components and software and provide routine and more complex automation
- Evaluate and critically assess new system hardware and software solutions
- Collect and critically analyse operational data (especially incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and support making recommendations

**Key Skills Required**
- Demonstrated experience as level 3 support person - Microsoft Office 365 platform
- 5+ years experience in a high availability cloud infrastructure driven environment
- 2+ years administrative experience in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure and/or a competing cloud platform
- Strong team player with strong documentation skills and keen attention to detail
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems - capacity planning, performance tuning, reliability
- Understanding of Windows Infrastructure (2012/2016/2019), firewalls and networking
- Azure A/D with SSO integration
