OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Visual Communication
- Prepares inspiring and informative weekly/bi-weekly visual merchandising (VM) guides for Aje Athletica and IKKARI to support seasonal launches and activations
- Prepares weekly mannequin, display points and trade updates for Aje Athletica & IKKARI
- Creates tailored floorplans weekly to ensure strategic product placement for each boutique and maximises on store profitability
- Provides VM support and inspiration to the national retail team through training and effective visual strategies by responding to problems observed in the field
- Ensures stores have implemented the VM updates and teams have completed their VM set ups, adhering to deadlines
- Oversees the compliance of VM photos uploads, reviews stores, and provides timely feedback to the store team, VM Manager, /Regional.
- Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve and optimise presentation, product and marketing
- Acquires sign off on all VM communication from the Visual Merchandising Manager (and other senior stakeholders where appropriate)

Creative Displays
- Coordinates the design and development of window display, creative in-store and activation concepts including VM booths and retail centre marketing initiatives
- Prioritises trend hunting and creative research to inspire designs and VM creation
- Research suppliers and develops strong relationships to enhance and optimise production of printed and sourced goods to the highest quality on time and to budget
- Briefs, and negotiates with, suppliers at the request of the Visual Merchandising Manager
- Coordinates the delivery and physical set-up of retail marketing activations
- Supports the PR and Buying Team to ensure the showroom is styled, merchandised and presented to reflect the seasonal concept ahead of all collection press showings and appointments where required
- Designs internal briefs for window decals, in-store signage or visual messaging in a timely manner
- Creates allocation lists for window schemes, creative props, in store signage, promotional signage, window decals, VM requirements and sale collateral to budget and for all stores
- Leads the installation of window displays, sale set-ups and supports new store openings and store projects

In Store Experience
- Conducts weekly store visits to ensure all stores comply with Aje Athletica visual standards, providing feedback to key stakeholders
- Ensures all new stores receive promotional signage, creative displays, and VM elements on time.
- Collaborates with the Merchandising and Logistics team to ensure stock allocations are set accurately and on time for review

Training And Development
- Inspires, educates and motivates the national retail team to uphold impeccable in store standards, whilst upskilling the team to ensure stores are merchandised aesthetically and commercially
- Supports the creation of visual merchandising training tools and leads training sessions for all Aje Athletica & IKKARI retail team members
- Supports the creation and maintenance of the ‘VM brand standard’ guide for in store teams

Commercial Acumen
- Uploads all relevant invoices in the required timeframe to the correct cost centre and updates budget tracker throughout the month
- Seeks sign off on all relevant invoices and projects prior to purchasing or approving
- Maintains the accuracy of VM Elements document with up-to-date photos, window dimensions, allocation templates, archive display imagery, season launch and VM guideline
- Manages briefs within allocated budget line in the financial year budget
- Able to present business cases for projects, launches, optimisations and rollouts (where relevent)

KEY COMPETENCIES
- At least 2+ years retail experience as a Visual Merchandising Assistant
- Proven track record in supporting the creation of inspirational and commercial VM guidelines
- Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced retail environment
- Passionate about curating best in class store and customer experiences
- Passionate about VM with exceptional attention to detail
- Practices clear and consistent communication, both written and verbal
- Proficient using InDesign & Adobe Photoshop
- Takes an active approach to understand creative trends, domestically and internationally
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Current and unrestricted driver’s licence and access to car
