**The Role**
The FASS section offers services that are instrumental in keeping the Museum building and assets consistently performing to provide a seamless staff and visitor experience. The FASS team provides expert knowledge on a range of services including but not limited to Heating Air Conditioning and Ventilation (HVAC), building repairs, electrical and project management. This role will assist with maintaining and providing management of assets and the Museum warehouse.

We are seeking an experienced and Non-Collection Asset Coordinator to join our Facilities Team. The Non-Collection Assets Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the museum's assets, such as exhibitions, materials, showcases, and other valuable items, are effectively managed. This role serves as the principal reference point for the acceptance and receipt of non-collection materials delivered to the Museum, including bulk stationery items, publications, and PR materials.

In addition to these duties, the position also entails the management and coordination of the offsite warehouse

**Key Accountabilities**
- Effectively manage the Museum’s non-collection assets such as exhibition materials, showcases, and other valuable materials in the Museum’s possession.
- Provide the principal reference point for the acceptance and receipt of deliveries to the Museum of non-collection materials, whilst ensuring positive relationships when communicating with other teams and clients.
- Manage and maintain an efficient storage and transportation system and identify any opportunities for improvement.
- Manage and maintain the currency of data on the TMS (Assets Register) and Chemical Data Systems, providing relevant reports when requested.
- Within the context of facilities management, work collaboratively to ensure the operations of the Museum, including in relation to methods of waste disposal and recycling aligning with relevant practices and procedures.
- Undertake duties and projects as required for the Facilities section including those relating to work health and safety and risk management issues.
- Manage and coordinate the offsite warehouse, where the following duties are required: general housekeeping, land, monitoring of garden maintenance, and ensuring the safety of the internal warehouse environment, including floor and dexion stacking.
- Use of specialised power tools as required and share knowledge of tools where applicable.
- Supervise labour hire employees including communicating on priorities and tasks and is responsive to stakeholders needs and expectations.
- Fulfil the key competencies of the classification of this position as defined and described by the Integrated Leadership System (ILS).
- Any other lawful and reasonable request made within this position.

**Selection Criteria**
Essential
- Knowledge and understanding of general facilities management building principles and procedures.
- An understanding of work health and safety practices within a facilities management context.
- Effective communication skills, maintaining positive relationships.
- Knowledge of Asset Management and storage
- Forklift license, LR license (minimum), and EWP license(Elevated Work Platform)

Desirable
- Experience maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in asset registers.
- Familiarity with waste disposal and recycling methods.
- Knowledge of power tools.

**Selection Process**
Selection for this position will be made on the basis of relative merit which will be assessed against each item of the selection criteria. Applications that do not address the selection criteria will not be considered for short listing by the Selection Committee.
