**GENERAL OBJECTIVES**

The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our business. The primary focus is on allocation of client consignments in an efficient & timely manner to meet maximum client satisfaction & retention of their business.

Interaction with customers and the courier fleet is central to ensure an effective operation.

The Dispatcher reports directly to the Dispatch Manager and must protect and promote Crisis’ best interest at all times.

**SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES**
- Planning and dispatching of pick-up and deliveries
- Transmission of guidelines to contractors (instructions, documents, ATL etc.)
- Continuously dispatch work to contractors providing clear and accurate details
- Deal effectively with queries from customer service personnel and contractors
- Initiate prompt communication with clients when circumstances require and maintain and encourage constant communication with contractors
- Liaise with other fleet controllers regarding work load and fleet capacity where additional cover may be required
- Monitor timing of deliveries with client expectations and delivery guidelines in mind
- Ensure that all work has been delivered at the end of the day
- Liaise with the Fleet Administrator regarding contractor numbers and transference of contractors to or from channels
- Continuously assess the priority of work allocation
- Manage contractor’s travel in relation and inclusion to constraints (roadworks, weather, driving time, prohibited traffic times, etc.)
- Administrative management (issue reporting, add-on reports, etc.)
- Provide additional support in customer service
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers continuously
- Report on successes and areas needing improvements

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines
- Demonstrate exemplary communication skills
- Experience in fleet operations and control preferred
- Proactive conflict resolution and ability to stay calm
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience working with Legacy sytems preferred
- Creative thinking is desirable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- Fleet management: 2 years (preferred)
