Let’s care for everyone’s tomorrow so we can create a better future together. **Data Privacy Officer** **| Location - Sydney** - Be part of a high-performing & technically proficient team - Fast track your career progression and development - Allianz is a Flex Ready employer, flexible working options are available The primary purpose of this role is to support the business in managing privacy risk arising from its activities including by maintaining the Allianz Australia's Privacy Program, to develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures and to monitor program compliance. **What are you going to do?** - Maintain the privacy program that supports the business in designing and operating effective privacy practices which minimise risk and ensure the confidentiality of customer information across all media types. - Monitor the effectiveness of privacy risk management in partnership with senior management, security, and data teams. - Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance programs, including policies, practices and investigations. - Design, implement and maintain privacy risk management frameworks, including personal information asset inventory management, data protection risk and impact assessment, privacy training and awareness and privacy incident response management. - Collaborate and support business leaders in determining relevant legislative requirements and risk, and provide guidance in designing controls to achieve compliant outcomes. - Promote information privacy awareness across the organisation, support divisions to advise employees on their obligations and promote good privacy practices as a business enabler and a critical element of securing our customers’ future. - Oversee, develop and deliver privacy training to AAL employees and provide enhanced training for specific functions, groups or roles. - Engage and consult across the organisation, and our agencies, to enable implementation and adherence to Allianz Australia Standards and Policies and Australian Privacy Principles, and provide guidance and recommendations to implement "privacy by design" principles in process and system development. - Support business leaders, Risk and Compliance Officers and Information Technology teams to undertake Privacy Risk Assessments, including Privacy Impact Assessments, Data Protection Impact Assessments and Due Diligence reviews. - Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring activities and monitor patterns of privacy incidents. - Ensure privacy forms, policies, standards, and procedures are up to date **What will you bring to the table?** - Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline. - Professional privacy qualification, Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). - Experience within a senior privacy or data protection role acquired in a complex, matrixed financial services organisation. - Demonstrated experience in designing and managing privacy programs, and uplifting organisational maturity in this area. - Experience in developing and implementing internal control and governance, policies and procedures based on the regulatory requirements and leading continuous improvement initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance. - Highly developed analytical skills, demonstrating the capability to analyse and interpret complex information from a broad range of sources (locally and internationally) and to present findings in a clear and compelling manner. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence, positively influencing risk behaviours throughout AAL. **What's on offer?** - Access on-demand lifelong learning and take control of your career development. - Learn through being supported and encouraged to take on new challenges that will help you to develop new skills - Be part of a team that’s open-minded, supportive, approachable and genuinely focused on customer outcomes - We understand about work-life balance, we have adopted a hybrid working approach and we are always willing to discuss flexible & remote working options with our employees.
