About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about building trust through responsible data practices? This role offers a unique opportunity to strengthen Healthdirect's privacy culture and support key governance initiatives across the organisation - from day‑to‑day privacy operations (consumer requests, incidents and complaints) to privacy assurance and data & AI governance.

  • Triage and manage consumer privacy requests (e.g., access, corrections) with professionalism and care, ensuring timely, accurate responses.
  • Triage and manage privacy‑related incidents and complaints, coordinating investigation, remediation and stakeholder communication.
  • Strengthen Healthdirect's privacy framework and foster a culture of privacy awareness and capability across teams.
  • Work with assurance and control partners (e.g., Risk, Legal, Information Security, and Quality, Safety and Experience (QSE)) to ensure privacy requirements are designed, implemented, tested and evidenced across processes, systems and third parties.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a risk, legal, compliance or governance function in an organisation that handles large amounts of personal information
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of privacy legislation and practice in Australia
  • Familiarity with national and state privacy laws and regulations, with an understanding of the Australian and government context
  • Proven experience writing reports, correspondence and producing professional documentation
