West Melbourne, Australia Nextt Group Full time

Is being a contractor burning you out? Looking for a better alternative?
- Tired of climbing the corporate ladder? Thinking of becoming a contractor?
- Returning from parental leave? Looking for flexible work options?

**Behaviour Therapy Practitioner**
- Are you thinking of building your own practice?
- Do you worry about providing PBS as a sole trader?

**Get the benefits of contracting without the bother**

Our Lizard Independent Therapist Model provides the benefits of being a contractor, namely a strong sense of agency and autonomy as well as sharing directly in the income you generate.

But we have smoothed the edges off the downsides, such as no paid annual or sick leave, no superannuation, and limited supervision or professional development opportunities - you get all of this

We also do the boring bits for you such as marketing for new clients, claiming, invoicing and administration with our central operations team.

Best of all, Lizard is a registered NDIS provider for Improved Relationships and Positive behaviour Supports.

So, you can focus on building your local client caseload, changing the life trajectory of the children you support, and sharing in the income and growth you generate.

If you are a contractor, but looking for an alternative that balances the downsides, or are working for a therapy provider and considering looking for alternatives to climbing the greasy corporate ladder then this role was designed especially for you.

**What is on offer?**
- Share in the revenue you generate - the more therapy hours you deliver, the more you earn $$$
- 6 weeks paid annual leave (pro rata).
- 2 weeks sick/ personal leave (pro rata).
- An additional 4 weeks paid parental leave.
- Professional development allowance and paid study leave.
- Training on our leading Lizard therapy programs and access to our DIGI platform.
- Clinical supervision to maintain your credentials.
- Technology allowance.
- Administration & management allowance.
- Extra professional development opportunities.

**The role**:
You will be providing Behaviour Therapy to children in your local community - at their home, in school, or at your local Lizard centre.

You will conduct all clinical aspects of a child’s program throughout their journey with Lizard. This includes;
- conducting initial consultation & assessments, writing progress reports, and training families in behaviour management.
- Design and implement individualised Behaviour Intervention Plans including training of Therapists and Parents in the use of BIP’s.
- Develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with clients in a manner that promotes the clients’ overall relationship and satisfaction with the Centre.
- Coach, mentor and guide therapists in the child’s home or school with regular supervision
- Maintain high levels of acquisition in the program by monitoring, and problem-solving. This includes conducting a combination of face-to-face and telehealth sessions.
- Liaise with children’s school/day-care/other allied health professionals and parents to ensure consistency across the child’s support network.
- Design and deliver training programs for parents, clinical staff & external stakeholders as required.
- Identify high risk behaviours and provide practical advice on complaints and Incidents.

**About Lizard**
