**Disability Support Workers**
At United Disability Care we encourage a person led approach, where each person is in a charge of their life from the front, where our team will provide support moving forward.
We enjoy working with the people we support to help them achieve a lifestyle that is unique to them, providing supportive pathways to greater opportunities and experiences.
We are seeking support workers with either experience or lived experience/skilled workers with a positive and passionate approach, providing a high level of support to the people we support with disabilities. The role is to provide in-home and community access support to several clients.
**The specific needs of each person we support vary, however some of the services might include**:
- Assistance with Daily living
- Transport to access the community and social program
- Domestic assistance to ensure a clean environment
- Manual Handling
- High care needs
- Meal prep
**Essential**:
- Current Driver’s License
- First Aid, CPR certificate
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Work Rights to work in Australia ie: Birth Certificate, Passport, Citizenship Certificate
- Smart Phone
- Caring for people who have a disability or dual diagnosis Mental Health desirable
- Managing challenging and/or unusual behaviors or complex behaviors advantageous
Training and support will be provided, including staff induction and service orientation buddy shifts.
