**About the role of Quality Manager**:
To provide leadership, oversight, information, education and training to ensure Icon delivers projects to the highest quality standards and are known as industry leaders from a quality perspective, and to ensure design, detailing and specification complies with relevant codes and standards and best building practices.
**Key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Manage the various Quality Management functions within the company in order to ensure the development, implementation and periodic auditing within Victoria;
- Develops knowledge of quality principles and capability in quality tools, techniques and approaches throughout the organisation.
- Coach, motivate and empower others to take accountability for achieving and improving standards of performance.
- Report to senior management on the performance of the quality system and provide recommendations for improvement
- Lead and coach all staff and subcontractors ensuring they are aware of and implement Icon’s HSEQ policy and systems on construction projects in Victoria
- Facilitate training with project teams at key stages of the project life cycle or specific high risk works being undertaken
- Liaise with external parties as required on matters relating to the quality system
- Participate in the development of new initiatives and procedures
- Attend regular Group and Divisional Quality Meetings
- Ensure that processes needed for the quality system are established, implemented and maintained
- Assist projects in preparing project quality documents such as Quality Plans, ITP’s, Risk Reviews and provide training and direction to the personnel managing quality on site.
**About you**:
- Experience in a similar Quality Advisor/Manager role
- Previous experience onsite working closely with Consultants and Sub-Contractors is essential to be successful in this role
- Strong relationship builder and a high level of emotional intelligence
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, Industry Codes and Procedures
- Strong stakeholder management through sound negotiation, influencing and coaching skills
- Interest in utilising technology and ability to analyse data to make informed decisions
- Exposure to Building projects
