**What you'll be doing**
This position is responsible for the operational management of the Transcultural Mental Health Centre's (TMHC) state-wide specialist clinical services established to supplement public mental health services (inpatient and community) for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) individuals, families and carers and enhance their pathways to care.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring: the provision of high quality, safe and culturally relevant information and culturally responsive specialist clinical consultation for service providers and their clients, contacting TMHC for mental ill-health and mental health concerns; that clinical reviews take place to support and monitor clinical practice for clinical staff and a pool of sessional clinicians.
The role includes: the timely management of over-the phone and face-to-face clinical consultation and information requests related to CALD communities and mental health care; the coordination of secondary level referrals by designated NSW Health service providers to enhance clinical components of care for individuals from CALD populations and to assist with mental health literacy for individuals, their families and carers; and skill and knowledge development in contemporary transcultural mental health clinical practice within the TMHC.

**Please note**: To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
**Essential Requirements**:
- Qualification: Senior Psychologist - Four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours; Relevant qualifications as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.
- Registration in line with Award requirements: Full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist or a member of the AASW as a Social Worker.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Tertiary qualifications in any of the following: occupational therapy, social work and, psychology.
- Demonstrated experience in the leadership of a complex clinical team, including staff and contractors.
- Proven ability to initiate and plan change to drive quality outcomes in multidisciplinary environments.
- Clinical experience working in mental health settings and working with clinicians and managers within large complex diverse environments.
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, understanding and commitment to patient safety, cultural safety and quality management.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering professional development and clinical supervision programs.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and liaison skills, including the ability to handle issues in a sensitive pro-active manner.
- Demonstrated human resource management skills and notable experience in building rapport and establishing trust.
