**How will I help?**

The Westpac Special Projects Team is looking for a motivated Product Manager to be a part of our Strategy and Customer Proposition Team. In this role, you will work closely with our external service partners and internal stakeholders to develop the foundational elements of a new life insurance product as well as a multi-year innovation journey for our retail and mortgage customers.

This role is responsible for the development and implementation of life insurance offers and initiatives with a focus on building processes, people and system capabilities. You will be a key contact point for the project team, multiple business areas and external business partners.
- Key responsibilities include: _
- Managing the end-to-end product and services lifecycle including business case, channels, collateral, performance monitoring and governance
- Identifying and analysing problems/opportunities and workshop solutions with stakeholders and senior management
- Defining, eliciting and documenting business requirements and functional specifications
- Creating and re-engineering processes to maximise efficiency and meet customer and business needs
- Supporting and facilitating change management, testing, training and implementation activities
- Project planning, scheduling, cost estimation and status reporting
- Manage risk and compliance obligations

**What do I need?**
- 3 years’ experience in financial services, life insurance or mortgage experience would be highly regarded
- Background in business or technical analytics
- Experience with end-to-end process design or continuous improvement
- Excellent relationship management, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience delivering change across multiple business areas, customers and external business partners
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent would be highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
